Sanskruti eBooks is an online digital goods retailer selling self-improvement, health, wellness, and Ayurvedic eBooks (PDF/ePub format) to customers in India.

For the purposes of applicable Indian privacy law, Sanskruti eBooks is the Data Controller / Business responsible for your personal information.

2 Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information required to deliver your purchase and support you:

• WhatsApp Mobile Number: Collected at checkout to send you your eBook download link after successful payment.
• Name (Optional): Provided voluntarily via our review form or support messages.
• City / Location (Optional): Provided voluntarily if you submit a reader review.
• Review Content: Text you submit through our "Share Your Reading Experience" form, which may be displayed publicly on our website.
• WhatsApp Lead Capture Number: If you submit your number in our "Download Free Sample Chapters" form, we collect it to send you the sample files.
• Technical / Usage Data: Standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit for security and troubleshooting. We do not use this for marketing profiling.

We do not collect your full name, physical address, email address, Aadhaar number, PAN, or any government ID unless you directly share it with us via WhatsApp for support purposes.

3 How We Use Your Information

• Order Fulfillment: To send your purchased eBook download links to your WhatsApp number immediately after successful payment.
• Customer Support: To assist you with download issues, re-delivery requests, or any post-purchase queries via WhatsApp.
• Free Sample Delivery: To send sample chapters to customers who voluntarily submit their WhatsApp number.
• Review Display: To display your name, city, and review text on our website if you voluntarily submit a testimonial.
• Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be used to improve website performance and content.
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulations.

We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond what is listed above.

4 Payment Data & Processing

Sanskruti eBooks currently accepts payments via UPI (Unified Payments Interface) — including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and direct UPI ID / QR Code scan.

When you pay via UPI QR Code or UPI ID, the transaction happens entirely within your UPI app. We only receive a payment confirmation (either via WhatsApp notification from you, or via our order verification system) after the payment is made. We do not have access to your bank account or UPI PIN at any time.

Transaction records (amount, date, and UPI transaction reference number) may be retained for accounting, tax compliance, and refund processing purposes as required under Indian law.

5 Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes.

Your information may be shared in the following limited circumstances only:

• WhatsApp Business API / Meta: Our customer support and order delivery operates through WhatsApp. By providing your WhatsApp number, your communication is subject to WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy.
• Payment Processors: UPI transactions are processed by your own bank and UPI service provider. Sanskruti eBooks is not a party to those data flows beyond receiving payment confirmation.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by a court order, government authority, or applicable Indian law (including the Information Technology Act, 2000).
• Business Transfer: If Sanskruti eBooks is acquired, merged, or transfers operations, customer data may be transferred as part of business assets, subject to this policy remaining in effect.

6 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary:

• WhatsApp order records: Retained for up to 2 years for support and re-delivery purposes.
• Review submissions: Retained indefinitely for public display unless you request removal.
• Payment transaction references: Retained for 5–7 years as required under the Income Tax Act and GST regulations.
